Just as popcorn goes with movies and football goes with Sundays, Pinot Noir goes with mushrooms. It's one of those perfect matches that even Hatfields and McCoys could agree on. In it's purest, most natural form, the Pinot grape shows bright, fresh berry flavors accented with the same, subtle earthy tone you find in mushrooms. We wanted to create a paradigm of sorts, so we sourced and blended several small lots of Pinot grown along California’s cool, sun-kissed Monterey coast, then firmed up the wine with aging of 10 months in oak barrels. The result is a wine that's as perfect with wild mushroom risotto as a portobello burger as a pizza piled with 'shrooms. But this wine is also delicious on its own – certainly while kicking back in front of a movie or Sunday football.
